Unfortunately, one of the most common problems of photovoltaic systems is their lack of security. Many times we find thefts who abduct photovoltaic solar panels and other elements of installations causing large economic losses and problems in the supply of electricity. In our efforts to provide the most complete solutions to our customers, we have several anti-theft security systems for photovoltaic systems:
Passive systems: Prefabricated structures.
The best way to prevent theft of solar panels is installing them with a prefabricated structures including a burglar anchors.
The operation of such anchors is very simple and offers high reliability. The panels are subject to the supporting structures by means of special lateral anchors with one arm with clamps that prevent the removal of the panel once placed.
In addition to this, these structures offer many advantages over conventional ones:
- Easy assembly.
- Reduce the time of labor mounts, reducing costs and improving working conditions for installers.
- Does not require special tools.
- Available for both flat surfaces for sloped roofs.
Active systems: Anti-theft protection and monitoring via plastic optical fiber.
When you want to increase the safety of an existing installation that is not worth changing structures, the best option to ensure the facility is installing an anti-theft security and monitoring system through plastic optical fiber.
But how exactly are these systems?
They based safety on “stitched”, element by element, of all the components that you want to ensure a photovoltaic system using a plastic optical fiber cable. When cutting the fiber to release some of the components, immediate an alarm signal is activated. It is reliable, economical, without false alarms and easy mounting. It also allows monitoring of the entire system and remote control of the facilitiy.
Security systems with plastic optical fiber also have a series of accessories for easy mounting of the fiber through the panels as bolts and safety pins, which are placed in the holes of the panels.
In general, an anti-theft security system in a PV facility has a very low cost relative to the value of the installation and the problems that can generate the subtraction of its components. We are specialized in this type of facilities. If you are interested, ask us, sure we can help you.
